Nandi Hills, also known as Nandidurga, is a small hillock near Bangalore. It is located 65 km from Bangalore and 1,478 meters above the sea level. It was the summer resort of Tipu Sultan. Devarayana Durga: Devarayan Durga is a rocky hill station situated in the midst of picturesque scenery at an altitude of 3940 feet, about nine miles east of Tumkur town of Karnataka State of India. It is 65 km from Bangalore, The most important of all are the Yoganarasimha and the Bhoganarasimha temples.

Hogenakkal :



Hogenakkal is a riverside small village, a busy and noisy village, with plenty of vegetation and little habitation in Tamil Nadu. This place is famous for waterfalls. Hogenakkal Falls is a quiet beautiful waterfall and is a good picnic spot. Its water supposed to have curative powers as the waters of the Kaveri flow through a forest of herbs on their journey to Hogenakkal.
Hogenakkal Waterfalls, known as the 'Niagara' falls of India, are not a single waterfalls but a series of falls and they offers a promising holiday destination for nature lovers from and outside the country.
Hogenakkal is considered as one of the most beautiful places in the state. The broad stream of the River Kaveri gets forked at this point, forming an island from where one stream continues on while the other plunges into a deep chasm to create one of the loveliest waterfall gives these rocks the name Hogenakkal which means "smoking rock".

Shivasamundram:

Shivasamundram, also known as Shivanasamudra, literally meaning Shiva's Sea, is an emerging tourist detsination, situated in a rocky terrain with traces of vegetation near Mysore in Karnataka. It is a small, pretty picturesque, calm town with lot of wonderful sights hidden under its calmness.
One of Asia's first hydro-electric power stations set up in 1902, which is still functional, is located here in Gaganachukki waterfall. This is where hydroelectric power was harnessed for the second time (after Darjeeling) in Asia and the electricity thus produced was used in the Gold Mines of Kolar, making it the first city in Asia to get hydro-electricity. A security check post at Shivasamundram prohibits the visitors from visiting between 6 pm and 6 am.
Near the town is the famous Shivanasamudra waterfall. Here Kaveri (Cauvery), the famous river in the region, splits into two, falls into a valley in two separate places called Gaganachukki and Bharachukki, two main attarctions in Shivasamundram and re-unites downstream. A good lot of water falls down from both the waterfalls.

  4. Hii...Nice One. I liked it very much and felt beneficial for all..I am panning to visit br hills resort and also bandipur resorts this weekend with my family. because their facilites,sevices offered at low cost,Wildlife Safari really really awesome..
